NEC PC Engine/Turbografx-16/Super Grafx NTSC 256x240 Optimal OSSC Timing: -------------------- Input Cable: RGBS SCART Cable (custom made for Voultar's V.69 RGB bypass board) OSSC Firmware = 0.81a (use 0.81 if you don't have audio version of OSSC) -------------------- Note: Although these settings are based on my Super Grafx, the only values that may or may not differ from other NEC hardware are the following: 1. Sampling phase (this always will be restricted to a case-by-case basis). 2. Advanced timing for 256x240's H. backporch. 3. Advanced timing for 256x240's V. backporch. Everything else should be universal. Also note that HD Retrovision cables will not function properly with the custom DIN-8 assignments used in Voultar's bypass mod. -------------------- Video in proc > Video LPF = 9MHz (SDTV) Pre-ADC Gain = 9 (again based on Voultar's V.69 RGB Bypass output) -------------------- Sync opt. > Analog sync LPF = 2.5MHz (max) -------------------- Output opt. > 240p/288p proc = Whatever linex mode you prefer. LineXx mode = 256x240 optim. Note: If you prefer square pixels, be sure to scroll down to the feature for setting 256 mode spect ratio and set it to "8:7". -------------------- Sampling opt. > 256x240: H. samplerate = 341 H. synclen = 31 H. backporch = 30 H. active = 256 V. synclen = 3 V. backporch = 16 V. active = 240 Back out to "Sampling phase" and adjust until all pixels are sharp with the least amount of color bleed. Mine was perfect at 315 degrees. -------------------- Post-proc. > No masking is recommended due to the variation in position of graphics on NEC games. --------------------
